Founded by Joey "Tekika" Boyer in February 2024, the business leverages Joey's extensive experience as a recording and mixing engineer, which spans over a decade. His journey began in 2014 with a discovery of GarageBand, which ignited his passion for music production.

Joey's foundational experiences included opening his first studio in his mother's basement, followed by formal education in the Music Industry Arts program at Algonquin College, where he excelled academically. His early career gained momentum when he secured a position at a studio shortly after graduation, allowing him to build a strong client base.

After leaving a toxic work environment, Joey founded Mixed By Tekika, where he quickly established a solid reputation in Ottawa's music scene. Within a year, he launched 'Tekika Room Recording Studios' and formed a partnership with the renowned 'Audio Valley,' owned by Steve Foley.
